Obituary

Claire E. (Crosier) Donovan age 88 of Brockton formerly of Wareham, died Thursday February 28, 2013 at the Kindred Nursing& Rehab – Colony House in Abington after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late William Donovan and former wife of David Norcross the father her children.

Claire was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late Donald and Florence (Vining) Crosier and was a graduate of Brockton High Class of 1942. She was a 1947 graduate of the Mass General Hospital School of Nursing and spent her career as a registered nurse. For many years she was a nurse at South Shore Hospital and also managed a local nursing home and was an elementary school nurse.

In her free time, Claire enjoyed painting and crafts. She was also a member of the Mayflower Society.

Claire was the mother of Pamela Newcombe of Plymouth, David Norcross, Jr. and Thomas Norcross both of Wareham, Kathleen Nichols of Florida, Walita Crawford of Springfield and the late Alan Magnus and Linda and Florence Norcross. She was the sister of Donna Pace of Abington and the late Gordon Crosier. She also leaves many grandchildren and a sister-in-law Mary Crosier of Scituate.

At Claire’s request visiting hours are omitted. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at Knollwood Memorial Park, 321 High Street, Canton, MA on Tuesday at 11:30 am.
