Clementine M. "Tina" Mossey
Clementine M "Tina" (Magliano) Mossey, 85, a lifelong Brockton resident and a former teacher and assistant principal died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at her home in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Clifton L. Mossey, Jr.
Born November 29, 1922 in Brockton; she was the daughter of the late Frank Magliano and Flora (Vacca) Magliano. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1941. In 1945 she graduated from Bridgewater State College with a Bachelors Degree in Education, and she received her Masters in 1972. Mrs. Mossey began her teaching career in Berkley and soon came to Brockton, originally teaching at the Sylvester and Franklin Schools. She then served as an administrator and assistant principal for fifteen years in the Huntington, Goddard, and Davis Schools. She retired in 1986 after forty years in the Brockton School System.
Mrs. Mossey was very active in social, church, and community activities. She was a past president of Alpha Kappa Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society, director of the Massachusetts Retired Teachers Association, pre-retirement chairman of the Plymouth County Retired Teachers Association, and a member of the Twentieth Century Catholic Women's Club, the Brockton Italian Scholarship Club, and the AARP. She was also active for many years at the St. Edward's/St Edith Stein Church, including 13 years on the Religion Parish Council and over thirty years as Eucharist Minister.
After retirement, she volunteered at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center for over twenty years. She traveled extensively with her husband, relatives, and friends. She also enjoyed reading and dining with her friends.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Parenteau, originally of Brockton and now of Onset and Elena Cammarano, originally of Brockton and now of Onset and Florida; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved dearly. She was the sister of the late Frank Magliano and Fred Magliano.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, October 29th at 8:00AM thence to St. Edward/St Edith Stein Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Tuesday 2:00-4:00 6:00-8:00PM.
