IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cleopatra
Castle
July 30, 1922 – October 29, 2022
Cleopatra Castle, a life long resident of Brockton, passed away peacefully on 29 October 2022 surrounded by family. Born in Brockton, Cleopatra joyfully celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends in July. Devoted wife of the late Chris N. Castle. She was predeceased by her loving parents Elias and Zaharos (Contos) Votsotis, her beloved sister Virginia and brother-in-law James H. Regas.
Cleopatra was a communicant of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and a long-standing member of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society. Over the years she volunteered at the Whitman school, was employed by a number of Brockton businesses in a variety of positions concluding with Etonic Sportswear in their professional golfing division. Cleo, as she was known to all, enjoyed spending time with her family, being at the shore, traveling around the country and reading. Known for her dry sense of humor and quick laugh, her home was always open to all.
Cleopatra is survived by her son Nicholas C. Castle, his wife Diane of Vienna, VA, sister-in-law Connie Kotsopoulos; many loving nieces and nephews (Linda, Liz, Sally, Tom, Nick, Paula, Pam, Jack, Nick, Chris, Daphne, John, Alison, Greg and spouses); and great-nieces and nephews (Jennifer, Andrew, Jason, Maria, Thomas and Christopher) all of whom she adored. She will be greatly missed by her extended family, dear friends and the Gifford Street Family. The family thanks her devoted priests, doctors and caregivers who all played a part in her reaching a healthy 100.
