Conceicao F. "Connie" (Pacheco) Amaral, 97, of Middleboro, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024 under the care of her family and hospice. She was the wife of the late Jose C. Amaral for 60 years.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal on June 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Pacheco and Maria Eugena (Marquina) Pacheco.

Immigrating to the United States of America on March 15, 1966, Connie worked in the John E. Lucey Shoe Factory in Bridgewater for many years. She lived at the same address in Middleboro for 58 years.

Connie was a homemaker and a great cook. She also enjoyed participating in Bible Study at Immaculate Conception Church in New Bedford for 30 years and was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in Middleboro.

Connie was charismatic, and while she couldn't read or write, no one could fool her with money.

She is survived by her five children, Dennis Amaral, Natalie DeOlim, Tony Amaral, Luisa Melo, and Danny Amaral; 12 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St., (RT105) Lakeville on Friday, August 23rd at 11:00AM thence to St. Isidore Parish/Sacred Heart Church, 340 Center Street, Middleboro where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 12:30PM. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Middleboro. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00PM-7:00PM.
