Corinne Beatrice (Martineau) (Brunelle) Pauley, age 85, died August 4, 2016 at Good Samaritan Medical Center, surrounded by her family and friends. Corinne was the wife of the late Norman Brunelle and George Pauley. She was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, in 1931 to a large, proud French Canadian family. Corinne was the daughter of the late Ernest and Corinne (Chalifour) Martineau, Sr. The family moved to Avon where Corinne graduated from Avon High School in 1949. She then attended Burrows Business School. After raising her seven children, Corinne worked for the admissions department of Brockton Hospital for 12 years. She was a devoted mother to her seven children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her passion for travel, puzzles and homemaking was surpassed only by her infectious and unparalleled sense of humor.
Corinne was the mother of Diane Hueber of Laconia, NH, Eugene Brunelle of Las Vegas, NV, Richard Brunelle of Brockton, William Brunelle and his wife Marlena of Foxboro, Juliette Coughlin and her husband Robert of North Easton, Ernest Brunelle and his wife Nicole of North Easton and the late Kathleen Climo formerly of East Bridgewater; grandmother of Corinne, Ariane, Norman, Kathleen, Danielle, Melissa, Christopher, Michael, Ryan, Chloe, Audrey and John; great grandmother of Olivia, Julia, Thomas, Jackson, Nathan, Julian, and Isabella; sister of Clement Martineau of East Bridgewater and the late Ernest, Jr., Robert, Dennis, Paul, Irene, Carmen and Marcel Martineau. She was the mother-in-law of the late Rose Brunelle.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 8:45am followed by a funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church West Bridgewater at 10am. Burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Avon.
