Obituary

Courtney J. Akins, age 31, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2023.

Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Akins and Lisa Akins of Brockton.

Courtney was a kind, caring person with a good heart and always had the best intentions in mind. She enjoyed spending time with her son, writing, beading and doing arts and crafts.

She leaves behind her beloved son Nazihah Akins of Brockton,

Her biological parents Kimberly (Holmes) Jackson and John Akins, her Uncle Stephen Dole of Brockton; siblings, Justin and his fiancé Michele O’Callaghan, Joshua Burns, Haleigh Akins, Lindsey Holmes, Christopher Akins, all of Brockton, and Joshua Maloof of Orange; nieces and nephews, Addison Burns, Jacob Burns, Gracie Holmes, and Gabrielle Akins.

A celebration of Courtney’s life will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 1-4pm, at the VFW Post 1046, 283 North Quincy St, Brockton, MA.
