Cynthia (Van Vloten) Khoury, 69, a long-time resident of North Easton, more recently of Bridgewater, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 after a brief hospitalization. She was the wife of E. George Khoury.
Cyn was born on March 12, 1945 in Boston. She was the daughter of the late Stella (Stromvall) Van Vloten and William Van Van Vloten. She graduated from Oliver Ames High School in North Easton in 1962. She married E. George Khoury in 1970 and this April would have been their 45th wedding anniversary. They welcomed their only son, Matthew in 1975.
She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, knitting, puzzle books and other brain games. She celebrated her Swedish and Dutch heritage, collecting Delft tiles and wooden Dala horses. She enjoyed traveling with family, particularly to Cape Cod and Ogunquit, Maine. She treasured her day trips and lunches with her cherished group of friends. She would do anything for anyone; she was good to fault. Those who know her best would tell you that she would talk to the wall if she thought it would answer back. With Cyn, there was no such thing as a short story.
She is survived by her husband George Khoury; her son Matt Khoury; her daughter-in-law, Dianna Cassin-Khoury; her grandsons, Danny and David Khoury; her sister, Anita Van Vloten. She was the daughter-in-law of the late George E. Khoury, Florence (Martelli) Khoury and Janoid Jennie Khoury.
