Obituary

D. Michael Perkins, 62 years, of East Bridgewater died unexpectedly October 21, 2010 at Tufts New England Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Mary Elaine (Grande) Perkins. A lifelong resident of East Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Donald and Virginia (Boyle) Perkins. Michael was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School and Salem State College and had been employed by Foxmoor Casuals and retired from The Massachusetts Turnpike Authority. He was a longtime member of the East Bridgewater Commercial Club and enjoyed outdoor activities, including gardening, hunting, woodworking and spending time at his cabin in Addison, Maine.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by two sons, Jacob M. and Seth T. Perkins both of East Bridgewater; a brother David Perkins of Brockton, sister-in-law Della Perkins of Georgia and brother-in-law Rick Grande and his family of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was the brother of the late Richard and Mark Perkins.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday 4-8pm. Funeral Service in the Union Congregational Church, 105 Pleasant Street, E. Bridgewater, Tuesday at 10am. Donations in Michael’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
