Daisy L. Kirk Daisy L. Kirk , 68, of Brockton died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late James E. McComb. Born June 18, 1938 in Enterprise, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Emteaser Kirk and Minnie (Bell) Kirk. She moved to Brockton in 1954 and graduated from Brockton High School in 1956. Daisy worked for the city of Brockton from 1970-1980 where her jobs included custodian in the girls locker room and she was the first city female crossing guard. She was an active member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church of Brockton. She enjoyed fishing, karaoke, and playing bingo. She is survived by her children, Vickie (McComb) Brown, James T. "Bubba" McComb, Stephanie L. (Bester) Afonso, Pamela Y. Bester, and Kathleen (Sisson) Paige; her 16 grandchildren; her 12 great grandchildren, and one goddaughter. Funeral Information Funeral Service will be Friday, April 20th at 11:00AM in the Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 24 Pleasant St., Brockton. Rev. Steven Neville will be officiating. Calling hours will be in the church prior to service from 10:00AM-11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery.
