Obituary

Daniel Birk, age 62, of Taunton, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Morton Hospital. He was the loving husband of Maria (Llanes) Birk and would have been married 37 years in August.

Born in Hollywood, FL, he was the son of Rita (Kinsherf) Birk Finch and her husband Frank Finch, and the late Stanley Birk.
Dan previously lived in Quincy and Brockton, prior to moving to Taunton.

He worked at AutoZone in Brockton for 7 years before retirement.

He loved working in the yard, woodworking, walking every day, socializing with his neighbors, and spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, Maria, he leaves his three children, Melissa and her husband Marc Cappiello of Raynham, Eric and and his wife Keyris Day of Raynham, and Daniel M. Birk of South Easton; three siblings, Charles Birk and his wife Suzanne of North Charleston, SC, Tammy Wise and her husband Edmund of Wareham, and Wayne Birk and his wife Sheila of Hartly, DE; a step brother, Frankie Finch of Taunton; and his five grandchildren, Nicholas Cappiello, Chase Cappiello, Theresa Day, Aria Day, and Colton Day. He was also the brother of the late Eugene Birk and Linda Birk.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit with Daniel’s family on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 5:30 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Interment will be private.
