Obituary

Daniel W. "Decent Dan" Duggan, 78, of Milton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2025, at Brush Hill Care Center.

Born on November 11, 1946, in Boston, Dan was the beloved son of the late Timothy and Agnes (Smith) Duggan. He was a cherished brother to Michael "Tim" Duggan, the late Robert Edward Duggan of Boston, and the late Mary Hoadley of Miami, Florida.

Dan spent many years as a dedicated cook and local bookmaker at Boston City Hospital, where he was known for his hard work and warm spirit. Later, he brought that same energy and reliability to his work as a freelance furniture mover throughout the Boston area. His nickname, "Decent Dan," reflected the humility and quiet strength that defined his character.

He is survived by his loving son Timothy Duggan, his adored granddaughter Hayleigh Alexis Duggan, his stepson Joseph Olivier, and his niece and nephew, Kate and Colin Duggan.

Dan will be remembered for his gentle nature, his dry wit, and his unwavering loyalty to his friends and family. He touched the lives of many with his quiet generosity and steadfast presence.
