Obituary

Daniel A. Higgins, age 66, of Brockton died February 19, 2025 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He was the devoted husband of Lisa F. (Mastroianni) Higgins. Dan was born and raised in the South end of Boston, a son of the late Daniel and Anna (Ross) Higgins. He was a graduate of Copley Square High School.

For over 40 years, Dan was a truck driver who ended his career with Karas & Karas glass company being a member of Local 1044 Painters allied and trade union. Dan spent most of his time with family and friends. His favorite hobby was to train German shepherds. He was a talented storyteller and a constant joke maker, even though at times he forgot the punchline. This never stopped his contagious laugh that he was well known for. Lisa was the love of his life. Daniel was the father of Samantha Higgins and Joshua Higgins both of Brockton. They were his proudest accomplishments. Dan was a loving brother of John Higgins of Plymouth. He had two sisters-in-law Michele Hebshie and late husband Grainger Hebshie, Linda Gabrielli and husband Armando Gabrielli, with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 12-3pm at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA 02301. Most importantly, in honor of the man himself, please dress casual.
