Online Obituaries Daniel L. Larry OConnell, 67, of West Bridgewater passed away Friday October, 27th at his home under the care of his family and hospice. He was the loving husband of Janet L. (DiStefano) OConnell. Born December 1, 1949 in Boston, he was the son of the late Daniel OConnell and Rita (McManus) OConnell. Raised in Norwood he graduated from Norwood High School. He served in the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. Daniel was a Truck Driver for Martin Brower Trucking for over 20 years and then for Stop & Shop Supermarkets for 11 years. He was an active member of the Teamsters Local #25. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, travelling with friends and vacationing in New Hampshire with his family. He has been a West Bridgewater resident for over 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Janet L. (DiStefano) OConnell; his daughters, Kimberly Kelliher and Dan of West Bridgewater and Jessica Turcotte and Eric of East Bridgewater; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kelliher, Lauren Kelliher, Ava Turcotte and Madelyn Turcotte; his siblings, David OConnell, Kathleen Dorion, William OConnell and Rita Siegel; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (RT28) West Bridgewater on Tuesday October 31st at 10:30AM thence to St. Ann Church, 103 North Main St., West Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 11:30AM. Private cremation will follow and interment will be held at a later date in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 4:00PM-8:00PM.
