Darcy was first and foremost a loving husband, father and grandfather. He grew up on the beautiful island of Barbados. Upon completion of high school he became a member of the Barbadian Police Force where, as Officer PC201, he worked for a number of years. During that time, he also studied technical design and architecture before immigrating to Canada in the late sixties. While there he worked several jobs as he continued his studies at The Design Institute in Montreal and Sir George Williams University of Montreal. Eventually, a job opportunity led him to Boston, Massachusetts.
While growing up, Darcy enjoyed playing cricket and tennis and swimming in the sea. His love for tennis continued; his many trophies attesting to his prowess. In later life, he enjoyed doing yard work and landscaping, carpentry and renovating older houses. Self-taught in these areas, he never met a challenge he couldn't work out.
Special thanks to Old Colony Hospice and Flourishing Home Care for exceptional service.
