David Howard Albertson, 68, of Marshfield and formerly of Brockton passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Diane (McMorrow) Albertson for 36 years. Born in Boston on September 26, 1953, he was the son of the late Howard and Elizabeth (Holst) Albertson. David graduated from Boston Technical High School in the class of 1971 and attended UMass Boston, majoring in marketing. David was a manager and retired from Roche Bros. He was a YMCA basketball coach and loved the Boston Celtics, Red Sox, New England Patriots and candle pin bowling. In addition to his wife, Diane, David is survived by his children Neil Albertson (Jocelyn) of Duxbury, Erik Albertson (Leanne Murray) of Bellingham, Christopher McDonnell of Marshfield, and Jeffrey McDonnell (Nicole Angelo) of West Bridgewater; his grandchildren Shea, Cassidy and Kyra McDonnell of Marshfield, Jenna, Jeffrey and Matthew McDonnell of West Bridgewater, Kaylan and Orianna Albertson of Duxbury and grandchild Olivia, who is anticipated December 2021; his siblings Douglas Albertson (Mary) of Hudson, New Hampshire, BettyJayne Lyons (Billy) of Webster, Janis Pennini of Bridgewater and Scott Albertson (Ellen Willet) of Brockton; and many nieces and nephews. David is also survived by close friend and former wife Elizabeth Albertson of Plymouth. Visiting hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt.123) Brockton on Saturday, October 30th from 2:00-6:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
