David Alves, 35, of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of Domingas Lopes of Brockton. Born October 20, 1982 in Fogo, Cape Verde, he was the son of Daniel and Dulce (Fernandes) Alves. David enjoyed writing, listening to music, playing soccer and socializing with friends. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Amos and Daniel Alves; 13 brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt.123) Brockton on Monday, March 5th at 8:00AM followed by a funeral Mass at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00PM. David's family invites everyone to join them back at St. Edith Stein Church following the interment to continue celebrating his life.
