McIlvene, of Brockton, September 12, 2002, David W. “Bill” McIlvene, Sr., 70 years. Husband of Dorothy H. (Pickett) McIlvene. Father of David W. McIlvene, Jr. and his wife Janine, Linda M. White and her husband Edward and Stephen P. McIlvene and his wife Kim all of Brockton. He also leaves 7 grandchildren.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street Rte (123) Brockton Monday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Colman Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4 and 6-8pm.

Obituary Information

Mr. McIlvene died Thursday at South Shore Hospital, Weymouth, after a lengthy illness. Born, raised and educated in Boston, he was a son of the late Charles B. and Cora (Gildert) McIlvene. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army. He was a member of Roofers Union Local 33, Boston, for 50 years, a communicant of St. Colman Church, he enjoyed fishing and his dog Oscar.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Dorothy H. (Pickett) McIlvene. 2 sons and a daughter, David W. McIlvene, Jr. and his wife Janine, Linda M. White and her husband Edward and Stephen P. McIlvene and his wife Kim all of Brockton, 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, 3 brothers, Donald of Keene, NH, Robert of Sandwich, MA and Carl of Mayville, NY. He was the brother of the late Charles and Walter McIlvene
