David Holmes Brooks, 80, of Brockton, Massachusetts, went to be with the Lord on March 29th, 2020 after a battle with lung cancer. Dave was born on July 6th, 1939 to Strafford and Claire Brooks in Brockton, MA. After graduating East Bridgewater High School in 1957, he went on to serve his country in the United States Army. After his service, Dave went on to work in sales for Metropolitan Pipe & Supply in Cambridge, MA. Dave was an active member of his church, Brockton Assembly of God, where he was a deacon. He also taught Sunday School at Teen Challenge in Brockton. He loved fishing with his grandchildren, golfing with friends and Boston Sports. Dave was well loved by his family. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Reilly) Brooks, his children, Yvonne Brooks, Denise Eisenmann, Linda Gourdin, Eileen Callahan and his stepson John Beaubien. Dave was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur and Wayne. He is survived by his sister June Oliver. Dave was the grandfather to Rachel, Adam, Nicole, Joe, Jason, James and Ian. Dave was great-grandfather to Austin. A live streamed only service will take place on April 4th at 10:00 AM from Brockton Assembly of God (please access by going to their Facebook page).
