David Coward, 59, of Abington, Ma passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021. He was the husband of Grace E. (Fernandes) Coward.
David was born the 13th child, in Brockton, on October 22, 1961 to the late Clyde H. Coward Sr. and Ruth M. (Hargrove) Coward.
David was a 1979 graduate of Brockton High School. He worked for Whitman Burial Vault for over 33 years, and he was a very hard worker, and had a passion for job. He even liked to call himself the "Vault Man".
David did not only work hard but also at home, he became a father to his first son, David McClendon Sr. Later on he married his wife Grace and became a father to 4 more boys, David, Earle, Francis, and Russel Haskell. David valued being a great father to his sons more than anything. David was a loving and caring grandfather. He was even more excited to become a grandfather. He was everyone's favorite "Bunka". Family values made David a great man, and an even better friend.
David was a big Patriots fan. He also enjoyed taking yearly trips with Grace to Florida.
David leaves to cherish his memories his wife Grace, his children David McClendon, David and Sandra Haskell, Earle and Jacqui Haskell, Francis and Antone DeSouza, Russell and Theresa Haskell, and Renee Waite; his 12 grandchildren, David McClendon Jr, Diamond McClendon, Daisy Haskell, Christopher Haskell, Kaitlyn Haskell, Felicity Washburn, Courtney Tejeda, Caleb Haskell, Justin Rodriguez, Russell Haskell Jr, Lucas Haskell, and Sophia Haskell. He also leaves behind 5 great grandchildren.
His brothers and sisters; Sandra and Thomas Dunham, Richard Coward, Helen Howard, James and Debby Coward, Blanche Andrade, William and Jeanne Coward, Nancy Coward Lee, Allen Coward Sr, Glenn Coward, Pamela Pierre, Karen Voisine, Lisa and Anthony Shannon, Donald Coward, and Colette Coward. He also left behind his brothers and sister who passed before him, Leonard, Ruthanne and Clyde Coward. He leaves his loving Godchildren; Trisha Council, Allen Coward Jr., William (Poppa) Coward Jr., and Jenayah Bryant and the late Myniesha (Coward) Smith. David also leaves behind an abundance of family and friends to cherish his memories.

Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, Feb. 6th from 2:00PM-6:00PM with Covid-19 Restrictions. Funeral services will be private.
