David M. Dernier passed away at his Brockton home on April 20, 2024. He was 74. He was a 1967 graduate of Brockton High School. Son of the late Francis B. and Geraldine L. (Poole) Dernier, he is survived by his sister Sarah Fischer of Bridgewater, Francis B. Dernier, Jr. of Brockton, Paul M. Dernier of Rochester, Daniel A. Dernier of Brockton, and his sister Susan (Mead) Borelli of Southbridge. David was also the brother of the late John H. Dernier of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. David was an active and devoted member of the North Baptist Church where he sang in the choir, participated in their Sunday school and youth group. He especially loved traveling to Israel with church members when he was 18 years old. Visitation will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main Street (Route 28), West Bridgewater on Wednesday May 8th from 10 to 1 p.m. Interment will be at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Peal Street, Brockton, MA.
