Obituary

David W. LaCourse age 71, of Brockton, died Wednesday June 12, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center after a period of failing health. He was the devoted husband of Sally (Watt) LaCourse and had lived in Brockton since 1989. Born and raised in Harvey, Illinois he served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and was stationed on the USS Coral Sea and USS Ticonderoga.

David had worked at the Brockton VA Medical Center until 1997 when illness forced his retirement. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, cooking and model trains and boats. He was a life member of VFW Post #8892 in Avon. He particularly enjoyed spending time with his wife after she retired and with his grandchildren.

He is survived by one son William D. LaCourse and his wife Melinda of East Bridgewater and two granddaughters Emily Rose and Molly Ann.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Friday 2-4 pm with a funeral service and military honors at 4 pm.
