David L. LaCouture "Dede", 87, of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the Signature Heathcare Brockton Hospital. He was the loving husband of Patricia "Patsy" (O'Brien) LaCouture.

Born in Brockton on December 19, 1935, he was the son of the late David J. LaCouture and Margaret (Peters) LaCouture. David attended Sacred Heart in Brockton, completing part of his high school education in Canada, he graduated from BC High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Bentley University. He also served in the United States Army.

Dede always put his family first and, more than anything else, he enjoyed their time spent together.

In addition to his wife Patsy, David is survived by his children Michelle LaCouture of Brockton, Patrice (LaCouture) Cochran and her husband John of Marshfield and David L. LaCouture, Jr. and his fiance Kristen Belmore of Stoughton; his grandson Benjamin Cochran; his step-grandchildren Jake Cochran and Maeve Cochran; his sister Marie Jackson and her late husband Richard; his nephew David Silva and his wife Mary; his brothers in law Francis, David, John and James O'Brien and their families; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Claire "Honey" Silva and her late husband Albert.

Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt123) Brockton on Friday, December 23rd from 4:00PM-6:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul on Saturday, December 24th at 9:00AM in St. Ann Church, 103 North Main St., West Bridgewater. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
