Poliatti, of Sebastian, Florida, formerly of Brockton and Attleboro, August 24, 2002, David A. Poliatti, 59 years. Husband of Violet (Pittsley) Poliatti of Florida and former husband of Diane Gibson of Holbrook. Father of David Poliatti, Jr. of E. Bridgewater; April and Karen Siok both of Virginia and Angelina Poliatti of Florida.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Edward Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8 pm.

Obituary

Mr. Poliatti died unexpectedly Saturday evening at the Sebastian River Medical Center in Roseland, Florida. Born in Quincy, he was a son of the late Salvador Poliatti and Helen (Paige) Curtin. Raised in Brockton, he attended Brockton schools and had been a resident of Brockton for many years. While living in the area, he had been a long distance truck driver for Drakes Bakery in Mansfield, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 494 for 33 years. After his retirement he moved down to Florida. He was a member of the Classals Bikers Club of Sebastian Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Violet (Pittsley) Poliatti of Sebastian, Florida, his former wife Diane Gibson of Holbrook, a son David Poliatti, Jr. of E. Bridgewater; and three daughters April and Karen Siok both of Medilothian, Virginia and Angelina Poliatti of Vero Beach, Florida.5 sisters Carole Ellis of Marshfield; Helen Pomarico of Brockton; Claire Cicone of Bridgewater; Louise Spillane and Margaret Holford both of Brockton, 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
