Obituary

David W. Porter, 62 years of East Bridgewater formerly of Bridgewater and Brockton died Thursday October 30, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband for 37 years of Kathleen A. (Rondeau) Porter. He had been a resident of East Bridgewater for the past seven years and had previously lived many years in Bridgewater. David was born and raised in Brockton, a son of the late Stanley and Phyllis (Benoit) Porter and was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1964. For 33 years he was employed in the Shaws warehouse in E. Bridgewater and later worked at Arrow Map Inc. in Bridgewater and Easton. David loved animals and was a volunteer at Brockton MSPCA. He was also an avid Red Sox fan.

He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Rondeau) Porter, devoted father of Sarah E. Porter of Malden and Maura A. Dearing and her husband Jeffrey of Dracut, grandfather of Meghan and Kelly and brother of Kenneth S. Porter and his wife Catherine of Jensen Beach, FL. He was also the son in law of Marjorie E. (Burke) Rondeau and brother in law of James F. Riley of East Bridgewater. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 11:30am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Monday 4-8pm.
