Obituary

David A. Swanson, 66, of Halifax, MA, died October 7, 2009, after a brief illness. Born in Brockton, 1943, he was the son of Helen (Hejduk) Swanson and the late Carl U. Swanson, husband of the late Ellen (Parmentor) Swanson. He is survived by stepson David See of Oregon, his brother Peter, Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA, and sisters, Janet Pike of Plymouth, and Cheryl Berrio of Halifax and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He graduated from Stoughton High School and lived for many years on the west coast. David was a passionate musician and had a love for travel. Currently was employed as Assistant Manager of Aubuchon Hardware in Carver.
A graveside service will be held November 7th at 10:00 a.m. at the Melrose Cemetery, Brockton, followed by a gathering of family and friends at the Monponsett Inn, 550 Monponsett St., Halifax at 12:00 noon. Donations in David's memory may be made to the chairty of ones choice.
