David Andrew Wood, 60, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2020. Born May 26, 1960 in East Bridgewater, he was the son of the late William B. Wood and Alice E. (Franklin) Wood. David, called "Woody" by his friends, lived in Brockton but his heart was in Maine. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, canoeing and using his chainsaw, and he was extremely creative with the art of wood burning. He fulfilled his life long dream of going to Wyoming last year. What he enjoyed most was being with his friends and family. He was always there to help anyone out, even a stranger. He was a man with a huge heart and a kind soul. As he would say, "bug you later, hugs and kisses" and when he would say goodbye. he would give the peace sign. Fondly remembered by his former wife Kathy Wood, Woody was the loving father of David Jr, Kristyn, Sheena, Andrew and Scott; proud grandfather of David III, Joseph, James, Emma, Quentin, Nadia and Caroline; baby brother to Judith (Ned) Handy, Carole, Ronnie, Diane, Debbie, Stephen (Mae Jean), Connie and his predeceased brother Bill.
