Obituary

Denise L. (Dean) Granberg, age 60, of Brockton, died unexpectedly, July 25, 2014 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. Denise was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Henry M. Dean and Patricia A. (Dadum) (Dean) Mahoney. She was raised and educated in Brockton and for many years was employed as a Dental Assistant by the Massachusetts Department of Corrections. She was strong willed and independent; enjoyed time with family, her grandchildren and pets. She was a member of the Belair Street Tenants Association.
Denise was the mother of Kelly Rizzotto-Isgur of Brockton, Heather Rizzotto of Abington and Jessica Leonard of Taunton; grandmother of Kaula Mackedon, Gabrielle Quinn, Tianna Rizzotto, Trevor Blanchard, Jr.; Ethan Blanchard and Alisa and Jenna Sass-Jollymore; sister of Joseph E. Souza, III of Portsmouth, RI and the late Bruce M. Dean.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday, Aug. 2, from 2-4pm followed by a funeral service at 4pm. Burial will be at a later date in Melrose Cemetery.
