Online Obituaries Dimitrios Jim Hasouris, 92, of Brockton, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a very brief illness surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Alexandra (Soteriou) Hasouris. Born February 16, 1924 in Sifnos, Greece he was a son of the late George and Maria (DePasqua) Hasouris. Dimitrios was the youngest of nine children. He served in the Greek Navy as well as the Merchant Marines in Greece. Dimitrios immigrated to the United States from the island of Sifnos in 1950. He was the owner of 2 restaurants and also worked for the local tannerys in Brockton as a machinist. Jim was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton and also AHEPA. He and his wife Alexandra recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary together. He is survived by his wife, Alexandra (Soteriou) Hasouris; his son Philip Hasouris; his grandchildren, Caitlin Howard and her husband Kevin and Sarah Aponte and her husband Marcus; his great-granddaughter Alexandra; close family partner Mary Fox; and his several nieces and nephews. He was the father-in-law of the late Linda C. (Cummings) Hasouris. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) BROCKTON on Friday, July 29th at 9:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in the Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
