Dolores Frances Covell

Dolores Frances (Blanchette) Covell, of Brockton passed away at age 96 on March 26, 2026.

She was born in Brockton and was a lifelong resident of the area. She lived in Brockton, West Bridgewater and N. Easton most of her life.

She was the loving wife of the late Robert L Covell for 48 years.

She was the daughter of the late Louis Napoleon and Noelie Indianola (Charest) Blanchette.

Dolores enjoyed traveling with her late husband Bob and made many driving and camping trips all along the east coast from Canada and Maine down to Virginia and Florida. They also traveled to Vermont, New Hampshire, upstate New York and Friendship Indiana where she supported him with his hobby of Muzzleloading Rifle and Pistol Shooting. She also loved her many pets they had over the years, nature, and her collection of Snoopy memorabilia.

She is survived by her children, Robert L. Covell Jr. and his wife Susan of Palm Coast FL, Catherine Anne (Covell) Melford of Columbus IN and Allan Covell of Bridgewater MA

Her Grandchildren, Garrison and Gardner Melford, Michael Covell and Daniel and Kimberly Covell.

Her Great-grandchildren, Andrew and Catie Melford and Owen and Miles Covell and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late L. Leonard, Charles E., Alfred G., Arthur N Blanchette, AnnaBelle C. Poirier and Roger F Blanchette.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (Rte 123) Brockton, from 9-11am, with a service to begin at 11am. Her burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
