Domingas A. Baptista Domingas A. (Azevedo) Baptista, 94, of Brockton, died Thursday, November 22, 2007 at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Jovino Baptista. Born April 4, 1913 in Brava, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Philip Azevedo and Maria (Ascencao) Azevedo. She was a Brockton resident since 1979 and enjoyed planting. She was the mother of Vitalina Ascencao, Alvaro R. Baptista, Iva Baptista, Elci Baptista, and Maria Baptista. Domingas also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Sunday 4:00-8:00PM.
