Donald Phillip Clisbee, 76, of Brockton, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Forestview Nursing Home in Wareham. He was the husband of the late Rita (Kinz) Clisbee, who was the love of his life.
Born December 27, 1938 in Brockton, he was a son of the late Walter D. Clisbee and Edith V. (Gustafson) Clisbee. He was a graduate of Brockton High School and a proud Navy Veteran. Donald was the proprietor of D&D Automotive in the 1960s and eventually moved to South Main Street Campello also known as Arco.
Donald worked for the U.S.P.S until his retirement. He was a member of the Vega Club in Brockton and an active member of the Bertocci Club. Donald enjoyed golfing, bocce and boats. He was also a huge Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his children, Lisa Marie Tidman, David E. Clisbee, Lori Ann Clisbee, Thomas Tommy M. Clisbee, Michelle Lea Connolly, Jennifer Nicole Petronio and Matthew J. Clisbee; his eight grandchildren; his brother David W. Clisbee of Brockton and his several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late James Clisbee and the sister of the late Ellen Timberlake.
Funeral Information
A Funeral Service will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Saturday, April 25th at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4:00PM - 8:00PM.
