Obituary

Donald A. Lynch, age 69, of Fairfield Glade, TN, formerly of Brockton, died April 19, 2016 at his daughter’s home in Berkley, MA. Donnie was the husband of the late Cathleen A. (Charland) Lynch. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late James and Alice (Young) Lynch. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, and for over 30 years worked for the City of Brockton in the Water Department. Donnie spent four years in the Air Force during the Vietnam era. Always happy and sociable, he was an avid golfer and bowler, and enjoyed watching sports, Westerns, and Science Fiction movies.
Donnie is survived by his daughter Kerry Lynch and her companion Joe Dias of Berkley; three grandchildren Roger Nowak, Jr. and Larissa and Noah Nowak. He was the brother of James Lynch of East Bridgewater, Roberta Corbin of TN, Carol Gagnon of Wareham, Jeanne Flynn of Barnstable and the late Patricia Pinnetti and Richard Lynch. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends Sue and Billy Sypher of Middleboro.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday 4-8pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 10am followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery.
