Donald L. MacIver, 79, of Buzzards Bay, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Tobey Hospital in Wareham. He was the husband of Mary L. (Godsill) MacIver. Born September 26, 1938 in Nashua, New Hampshire. He was the son of the late Leo MacIver and Jean (Simard) MacIver. Donald was the President of his family owned shoe business, Leo F. MacIver Company of Brockton. He was the former President of Metro South Chamber of Commerce from 1980-1981, President of Rotary Club of Brockton from 1982-83 and served as President of Boston Boot and Shoe Club. He served on the West Bridgewater School Committee Board from 1970-1976, Board Member of Abington Mutual Fire Insurance Co., Brockton Savings Bank and Brockton Hospital. He enjoyed gardening, traveling and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Mary L. (Godsill) MacIver; his children, Brian Maciver and Lisa Lewicki and her husband Bill; his grandchildren, Gregory, Alysha and Alex Lewicki; his brothers, David MacIver and his wife Karen and Douglas MacIver and his wife Connie; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the father-in-law of the late Patricia MacIver. Following Cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Saturday, February 3rd from 2:00-5:00PM.
