Dirksen of Newton formerly of Brockton May 4, 2006 Donavon L. “Don” Dirksen 67 years. Husband of Jeannette E. (Dearth) Dirksen. Father of Steven Dirksen of Windham, NH; Tina, Donny and Sharon Dirksen all of Newton. Grandfather of Kristina Dirksen of Windham.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 11 am with visitation 10 to 11 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.


Obituary

Donavon L. Dirksen 67 years of Newton died Thursday at the home of his son in Windham, NH under the care of hospice. He was the husband for 46 years of Jeannette E. (Dearth) Dirksen.
Mr. Dirksen was born and raised in Alexander, Iowa a son of the late Jelto and Margaret (Pals) Dirksen. He had been a resident of Newton for the past 21 years previously living in the Brockton area for many years.
Mr. Dirksen was a graduate of Alexander High School class of 1958 and entered the US Army soon after his graduation.
By trade he was a cabinet installer for Canac Kitchens and worked along the east coast.
Mr. Dirksen was an avid NASCAR fan.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters Steven Dirksen of Windham, NH; Tina, Donny and Sharon Dirksen all of Newton. He was the grandfather of Kristina Dirksen of Windham.
He also leaves 2 brothers and a sister Gary Dirksen, Ronnie Dirksen and Bertie Kalkwarf all of Iowa and several nieces and nephews
