Dora M. Maurea
, 91, of Brockton, died Friday evening, July 27, 2007 at the Windsor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Yarmouth.
Born December 31, 1915 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Adolfo Maurea and Maria (Jantomaso) Maurea. She was a lifelong resident of Brockton and was a communicant of St. Patrick's Parish. She retired from Raytheon in Quincy where she worked for 25 years.
Dora was a founder and lifetime member of the Ermete Novelli Club. She also volunteered as the chef in the St. Paul Soup Kitchen for over 12 years upon retirement. She worked weekly at the Saturday Bingo at Church and almost daily as a volunteer/companion for residents at St. Joseph Manor.
Family and people in the community will fondly and gratefully remember Dora as someone who was always willing to drive, do errands, and babysit.
She is survived by her sister, Elena Richardson, 14 nieces and nephews, 34 grandnieces and grandnephews, and several great grandnieces and great grandnephews. She was also sister of the late Candida Celia, Angela Mastro, and Charles Maurea.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funearl Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton on Wednesday, Aug. 1st at 9:00AM thence to St. Patrick Church, 335 Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Tuesday evening in the Russell Pica Funeral Home 4:00PM-7:00PM.
