Doreen Lee (Carew) Rose, 64, of North Attleboro passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8 comfortably at her home on Mother's Day after a long period of COPD. She has gone home to God to reunite with all her loved ones that passed previously.
Doreen, known to everyone as Doe, was born on July 12th 1957 in Weymouth, MA. She lived most of her life in Brockton, MA and resided in North Attleboro the past 20 years but remained a Brockton girl at heart.
Doe was the daughter of the late Glenn Carew and Barbara (DeCelle) Carew.
She was a 1975 graduate of Brockton High School. She worked for many years as a talented electronics assembler, and at the Ashmonts store in Brockton. She also worked for her father at his land survey company. Doreen was a dedicated life member of the Protector's Club in Brockton. She loved the club.
Doe was a loving wife, mother, and best friend to countless people in her life. She enjoyed having fun and being with family and friends. She loved to party and was the life of the party. Doreen was a stay at home mom in earlier years and was a fantastic mother that did everything for and with her two boys while keeping a wonderful home for her family.
Doreen made the best teammate to her husband and they tackled many projects together, big or small. She loved to do crafts, especially with her granddaughter Lilly and for holiday occasions. She also was an awesome bowler and spent many years on a bowling league. Doreen also enjoyed the beach and spending years going out on her dad's large boat. She loved music and to dance. Pink Floyd was her all time favorite band.
Doe was the ultimate people person and would do anything for anyone she knew. She was a very generous soul to all. It was said that if she was dropped in a foreign country without speaking the language she would still have five friends within five minutes. Doe possessed more common sense than most and did not indulge in any B.S. from anyone. She loved children and infants and was known as Doe-Doe to all the kids. Doe also had a mischievous streak and was a bit of a tom boy in her younger years. Anybody that knew Doe loved her.
Doreen was the beloved wife of Daniel Rose. Doe is survived by her husband, sons Anthony Rose and Kenneth Rose, her twin sister Donna Zarrella and brothers Glenn Carew, Wayne Carew, Charles Carew and Gary Carew. She was also the sister of the late Diane Nickerson. Doreen is also survived by her granddaughter Lillian Rose, also Anthony's fiancée Jennifer Paiz and her sons Giovanni Tovar and Christian Paiz. Doreen also had many nieces and nephews. Doreen's smile and the twinkle in her eyes, her wit, sense of humor and sweetness will sadly be missed.
In accordance with Doe's wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral. Her ashes will be spread in the waters off her favorite beach in Onset MA and she will be interred at the National Cemetery in Bourne MA where her husband will also be interred.
