Doreen M. Gurley, 80, of Bridgewater passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Alliance Health at West Acres in Brockton. Born August 7, 1941 in Brockton, MA she was the daughter of the late James and Cora (Cornwall) Hilliard. Doreen was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1959, she enjoyed reading, travelling and going to the casino. Ms. Gurley worked as an Administrator for the Head Start program for several years from which she retired. She is survived by her children, John Wyatt Jr. of Fountain, Colorado, Doreen Wyatt of Brockton, Vikki Buchanon of Fayetteville, Tennessee and Robert Leslie Gurley, Jr. of Pensacola, FL; siblings, Cora Sue Boone of Brockton, Shrill Gurley and husband George of Bridgewater, James Hilliard, Bobby Hilliard, Walter Hilliard and wife Brenda and Jack Hilliard and wife Jean all of Brockton. She was also the sister of the late, Ann Watson. Following Cremation, A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) BROCKTON on Wednesday, March 2nd from 11:00AM-1:00PM. Following cremation a memorial gathering and service will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home in Brockton on a date to be announced.
