Obituary

Doris M. (Lofstrom) (Dennehy) Blackwell, 96 years, of Plymouth, formerly of Brockton, died October 6, 2011. She was the wife of the late Arnold A. Blackwell and the late William F. Dennehy. Born in Brockton the daughter of the late Hjalmar J. and Mary J. (Shaughnessy) Lofstrom, she had been a resident of Brockton until moving to Plymouth in 1983. Doris was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1933 and taught kindergarten in Brockton for 22 years. She was a past member of the Plymouth Country Club, and past member and president of Pinehurst Village in Plymouth. While living in Plymouth she was a communicant of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church and while a resident of Brockton she was a communicant of St. Colman Church.

She is survived by her three sons, William F. Dennehy and his wife Aline of Kingston, Robert R. Dennehy and his wife Pamela of Middleboro and David H. Dennehy of East Bridgewater; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was the sister of the late Raymond Lofstrom and mother-in-law of the late Frances A. Dennehy.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home Tuesday at 8am for a funeral mass in Christ The King Parish at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
