Obituary

Doris Henderson, 78 years, died Friday, December 10, 2004 at Embassy House Nursing and Rehabilitation after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Plainfield, CT, raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Cleminson) Henderson.

In her youth she and her brother Bill sang with the New Bedford Standard Times Theater of the Air, a weekly Saturday morning radio show. During WWII she and her brother also toured with the USO in Massachusetts performing for the troops at Camp Edwards and Fort Devens.

She is survived by her brother William Henderson of Acushnet, MA. She was the sister of the late Walter Henderson.
Her burial was held Monday at Melrose Cemetery.
