Obituary

Doris B. McLeod, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the age of 91. She was the loving daughter of the late Harold and Grace (Seaman) McLeod. Doris is survived by her beloved sister Marjorie “Marnie” McLeod of Brockton, brother Richard McLeod of Brockton, and nieces Elaine Allshouse of Holbrook, Gail McLeod of Brockton and Carol McLeod of East Falmouth. She was proud of her long career as a bookkeeper for the YMCA in Brockton. Doris loved to travel and visited more than 30 countries. She enjoyed summers on Cape Cod and dinners with the “girls.” She cherished her many cats over the years and liked to donate food and blankets to the local MSPCA. She had a wry sense of humor and was an avid reader. Doris will be dearly missed by many, especially her sister who was her best friend and companion.

A private funeral service and burial will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2014.
