Dorothy S. Daly (Snyder) age 88, of Brockton, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Daly.
Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late James Zotus and Helen Snyder and stepdaughter of the late Albert Snyder.
After raising her children, she worked at Payless Shoes, One Step Ahead, and at Cricket Lane.
Dot will be remembered by her family as being the greatest mother in the world. She was always happy, in a good mood, and never let much bother her.
An avid New England sports fan, she enjoyed watching cooking shows, lifetime movies, dancing with the stars, and turner classic movies. Dot also enjoyed scratch tickets and a good hot dog. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves her four children, Robert M. Daly and his wife Cheryl of Taunton, Karen L. Hamilton and her husband David of West Wareham, Christine A. Tessier and her husband Donald of Brockton, and Lisa M. McDonald and her husband Harry of East Bridgewater; grandchildren, Eric, Jared, Andrew, Michael, Melanie, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Tianna, Joshua, Alicia, and Vanessa; nineteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Snyder, Rosie Eveline, Shirley Snyder, and Carly Snyder.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 12:00 pm, followed by interment in Melrose Cemetery.
