Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 9 am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery at 1:15pm. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8pm. Donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
Obituary Information
Dorothy M. Darois, 62 of Brockton, passed away Tuesday at her home after an extended illness. Born in Boston, she was raised in Quincy and graduated from North Quincy High School Class of 1961. She had been employed by New England Telephone Company for five years, was married in 1965 to David N. Darois and had been a resident of Brockton since 1967. For the last fifteen years she had been employed with AAA as a Travel Counselor in the Westwood office. Dorothy was a member of the Ladies Sodality at St. Colman Church for many years as well as a Religious Education Instructor. She enjoyed traveling, collecting Beanie Babies and spending time with family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her husband David N. Darois, two sons David M. Darois of Steubenville, OH and Keith J. Darois of Brockton, one daughter Colleen D. Cleaves and her husband Todd of Brockton, two grandchildren Brendon K. Cleaves and Alanna R. Cleaves of Brockton, her mother Dorothy M. (Clifford) McCormick of Quincy, one sister Eileen McLeod of Pocasset, one brother Richard McCormick of Quincy and two nephews Tavis and Bretton McLeod.
