Dorothy M. (Burns) Donovan Dorothy M. (Burns) Donovan , of Brockton, died Sunday, January 3, 2010 at West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton after a brief period of failing health. She was the wife of the late George R. Donovan. Born May 12, 1927 in Randolph, she was the daughter of the late Norman H. Burns and Helen (McEntee) Burns. Mrs. Donovan worked in the shoe industry for several years. She worked for Stride Rite and Potvin Shoe companies. Mrs. Donovan has been a Brockton resident for over 60 years and was a former communicant of St. Margaret Church in Brockton. She enjoyed playing the lottery and trips to foxwoods. She is survived by her sons, Michael J. Donovan and his wife Dorothy of Bridgewater and Kevin R. Donovan of Brockton; her grandchildren, Kristin Stork and her husband Robert and Michael Donovan, Jr. and his wife Kimberly; her great grandchildren, John Stork and Kailey Stork; her sisters and brother, Helen Craigan, Grace Pomerleau, Joan Toland, and Norman Burns; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Marjorie O'Hane, David Burns, Robert Burns and Samuel Burns. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, January 8th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Thursday 4:00-7:00PM.
