Obituary

Dorothy D. (Cappiello) Gale age 97 of Bridgewater formerly of Brockton, died November 28, 2022 after a brief illness, She was the devoted wife of the late Robert H. Gale. Born and raised in Brockton, Dorothy was a 1943 graduate of Brockton High School where she was actively involved on the reunion committee.

Dorothy was a longtime employee of New England Telephone where she held various positions. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, and was especially proud of her sons’ achievements.

Dorothy was the mother of Robert H. Gale, Jr. and his wife Kim of Indian Harbor Beach FL, John M. Gale and his wife Elaine of Bridgewater and Tim Gale of Wareham. She also leaves 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dorothy was the sister of the late Michael Cappiello, Phyllis Sergi and Louis Cappiello.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Thursday, December 1, from 8:30-10 am followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
