Obituary

Dorothy F. Karns, age 86, of Centerville, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully April 2, 2017. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Henry T. and Josephine (Carty) Karns. She was raised and educated in Dorchester. For many years Dorothy worked for the Gillette Company. Following her retirement from Gillette, she was a school bus driver in Abington. Always giving of herself, she enjoyed being with her family and dancing.

Dorothy is survived by her sister-in-law Maureen Karns of Brockton and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alfred Karns, Ruth Munn, Lorraine Colman, Claire Duggan and Jackie Karns.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 10-11am, followed by a funeral service at 11am. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
