Mother of Sheila Davis and her husband Donald of Carlsbad, CA, formerly of Bridgewater, Maureen Spillane of Brockton and Dorothy F. (Robbins) Saucier and her husband Joseph of East Bridgewater. Grandmother of Donna Davis of Cardiff, CA, Kelly (Davis) Brooking of Kona, HI, Tracy (Davis) Jordan of Bridgewater and Sgt. Brian Spillane, USMC of Camp Pendelton, CA. Great grandmother of Dylan Spillane of CA and Shea Brooking of HI. Dear friend of the late William and Kay Bishop.

Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8pm.

Obituary Information

Dorothy Mae (McEntee) Murphy died Monday evening at Blue Hills Alzheimer’s Care Center in Stoughton. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Patrick and Ellen (Kavanaugh) McEntee. She was raised in Brockton; was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1936, and was a longtime resident of the city. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her home and family. She enjoyed cooking, the New York Times Crossword puzzle, gardening, and especially tending to her rose garden. She was a former longtime communicant of St. Edward Church.

She is survived by her three daughters Sheila Davis and her husband Donald of Carlsbad, CA, formerly of Bridgewater, Maureen Spillane of Brockton and Dorothy F. (Robbins) Saucier and her husband Joseph of East Bridgewater, four grandchildren, Donna Davis of Cardiff, CA, Kelly (Davis) Brooking of Kona, HI, Tracy (Davis) Jordan of Bridgewater and Sgt. Brian Spillane, USMC of Camp Pendelton, CA, two great grandchildren, Dylan Spillane of California and Shea Brooking of HI and several nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Murphy and sister of the late Joseph P. McEntee.
