Dorothy E. (Leandres) Silvia, 88, of Bridgewater, formerly of Carver, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2020 at Morton Hospital after a brief illness.
Dorothy was born in Fall River and grew up in Bridgewater. She was a graduate of Bridgewater High School. She was married to the late Henry A. Silvia for 56 years.
She is survived by six children: Henry A. Silvia, Jr. and his wife Jackie of Brockton, David Silvia and his wife Frances of N.C., Mark Silvia and his wife Candy of Lakeville, James Silvia of E. Bridgewater, Kathleen Silvia and her partner Linda Pfaffinger of ME and Michael Silvia and his partner Greg Martin of ME. Dorothy was also the mother of the late Robert Silvia of Bridgewater. She also leaves 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren and her dear companion, Geno Panzini of Bridgewater.
After retiring from hair dressing, Dorothy worked as a cake decorator for Shaw's Supermarket in Carver. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Bridgewater and the Bridgewater Lions Club. She enjoyed sewing, baking, music and dancing, travelling, casinos and especially being with her family.
Services will be held at a later date due to COVID-19. She will be buried at the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
