July 6, 1930 – November 8, 2024
Dorothy (Mullin) Clark, of North Easton, age 94, passed away on November 8, 2024. Dorothy was the daughter of the late William "Bill" Mullin and Emily (Podeiko) Mullin of East Cambridge. Dot is survived by her only sibling; a sister, Marilyn Mullin Nesbit, of Sun Valley, Idaho.
Formerly of Cambridge, Somerville, Belmont and Malden, Dot attended Cambridge High and Latin School (Class of 1948) and the Mount Auburn School of Nursing in Cambridge where she grew up. Dot worked as a nurse for many years and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield at age 58. While still working full-time, Dot earned an Associate Degree in Business from Bunker Hill Community College. After her retirement from BCBS, Dot returned to Labouré College of Healthcare in Milton, MA where she earned an additional Associate Degree in Coding. Dot then embarked on a second career as a Medical Records Administrator with Wild Acre Inns of Arlington where she worked part-time until age 85 when the business closed.
Dot was the former spouse of the late John "Jack" Clark and the mother of Deborah Clark Lancaster (St. Mary of the Annunciation High School Class of 1970), wife of Steven Lancaster of West Bridgewater, Joyce Clark McElwee (Matignon High School, Class of 1974), wife of Christopher McElwee of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and was predeceased by her only son, John "Jay" Clark in 2007 (St. Mary of the Annunciation High School Class of 1972), his widow Donna Clark of Tyngsborough, MA. Dot had eight grandchildren: Jason Manhart (wife-Tiffany Montgomery Manhart) of Bridgewater, MA, Jeffrey Manhart of West Bridgewater, MA and Scott Lancaster (wife- Alexandra Pascasio) of Hyde Park, MA as well as William McElwee (wife-Rebecca), Patrick McElwee (wife-Iris) and Casey McElwee, all of Wisconsin as well as Michael (Massachusetts) and Jennifer Clark (Connecticut). Dot also had eight great-grandchildren: Isaiah and Selena Manhart of Bridgewater MA, Ellianna, Izabella, Aria, Hezekiah and Violet McElwee of Wisconsin as well as Marley Rose Lancaster of Hyde Park, MA.
Visitation will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St.,(Rt28) West Bridgewater on Friday, November 15th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m followed by a funeral service at 4:00PM. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dot's memory to the West Bridgewater Senior Center, 97 West Center Street in West Bridgewater, MA 02379
