Online Obituaries Dorothy H. (Simmons) Webster, 98, of Brockton, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Braemoor Health Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Herbert H. Webster. Born in East Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Everett Simmons and Elsie (Stimmel) Simmons. Raised in Brockton she graduated from Brockton High School and Williams Business School. As a teenager, she was the winner of Miss Cinderella Contest, that awarded her for the most perfect foot, size 4. Dorothy was married on January 23, 1942. She enjoyed reading, spending summers on Cape Cod and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Alan Webster of Taunton, Meryl Walkus of South Yarmouth, Thomas Webster of Brockton, Janice Benson and her husband William of Brockton and Valerie Alger and her husband Thomas of Middleboro; she is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, May 3rd from 9:30-11:30AM followed by a prayer service at 11:30AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
