On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, Douglas Alden Bryant passed away at the age of 58 at Cape Cod Hospital surrounded by his ex-wife Karen, their children and family. Doug was born on November 30, 1961 in Stoughton to Arthur and Shirley Bryant, both of Brockton. Doug lived in Brockton until his family moved to Marstons Mills on Cape Cod at the age of 9. Doug lived in Hyannis at the time of his death. Doug and Karen married in 1988, and had three beautiful children: James, Allison, and Sean of East Sandwich. He was the brother to Joyce (Bryant) Gogan of New Hampshire, the late Donald Bryant of Florida, and Gary Bryant of New York. Doug has fourteen nieces and nephews and many cousins. Doug graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a long-time employee of State Street Bank and worked at UPS for the past 8 years. Doug loved going to the beach, cooking, and reading and had a friendly and witty personality. His kind, caring nature is expressed in his three children. Doug spent the last few days with his family by his side. A private family memorial service will be held Labor Day Weekend, September 6, 2020.
